Dupe or Not? NARS Orgasm & ELF Twinkle Pink.

Uncategorized

I love both ELF products and NARS products, and there’s usually a lot of talk about ELF products that are dupes for NARS products. Today, I want to compare the NARS blush in Orgasm and the ELF Studio Line blush in Twinkle Pink and show you if can save or go ahead and splurge (but not the guilty kind).

Quick Notes on each of the products:

NARS Orgasm-

  • Price: $35
  • Quantity: 0.16 oz
  • Color description: Coral pink with golden shimmers.
  • Type of blush : Soft, sheer, pressed.

ELF Twinkle Pink-

  • Price: $3
  • Quantity: 0.168 oz
  • Color description: Peachy pink with shimmers.
  • Type of blush: Soft, sheer, pressed.

Take a seat. Now, a deep breath. (Maybe some dramatic music?)…because these aren’t very alike.

Final thoughts on the ELF Twinkle Pink:

The ELF Twinkle Pink is VERY powdery, and you need more product to get the same amount of blush to show up (keep in mind that I have an olive skin tone), so it is not very pigmented. The color shows up more as a peachy color rather than a pink. Also, it is also not as shimmery on the skin as it appears in the packaging (which, depending on you, could be a good or bad thing). I have worn it around all day and it also doesn’t have great longevity, so that’s a bit disappointing since the color is so beautiful. Oh, and one final conclusion: SO! MUCH! FALLOUT!

Final thoughts on the NARS Orgasm:

The NARS Orgasm is a MUCH more silky, softer product and shows up very easily on the skin. It’s a lot more pink-based than the ELF Twinkle Pink, and the small shimmers in the blush provide a beautiful glow to the cheeks. Lasts all day, and has little fall out as well.

Let me know how any of these products worked for you! 🙂
